The Story of Hot Farm™ – the Farm and the Brand
We are the Rodinov family – Hristo, Darina, Elena, Slavena and Stoyan – and this is our story. The story of Bulgaria's first hot pepper farm, and of the brand that fills our hearts with warmth and pride – Hot Farm. It all began with an idea that seemed crazy at first, and grew into our passion, our mission and a family business of international standing.

“To the crazy ideas that grow into something meaningful”
In 2011, Hristo brought home a few hot pepper seeds and was adamant that he was going to grow these exotic plants at home.
The rest of the family greeted the idea with laughter and a healthy dose of scepticism, but he didn't give up. He put in tireless work, hours of reading and an enormous amount of determination to prove that even the world's hottest peppers can be grown in Bulgaria.
What started as a hobby quickly became a passion – within a year we had over 300 varieties growing in our garden.
But Hristo didn't stop there.
Inspired by the abundance in our garden, he began experimenting with sauces and spices – and that is how the seed of Hot Farm was planted.
The Road to Success
In 2016 we decided it was time to turn this passion into something big.
We converted our greenhouses and planted them entirely with hot peppers, set up a company and put everything we had into it.
In three months Hristo and Darina managed to create 39 unique products, which are part of our portfolio to this day.
Today, what began as a 900-square-metre farm has grown into 16,000 square metres of cultivated land, where over 80 varieties of hot peppers are grown.
We work in a closed production cycle – from seed to finished product – and put care into every single step.
In 2021 we put Bulgaria on the global chilli stage – we created the hottest Bulgarian pepper, "Bulgarian Sense", which is officially certified worldwide.
It is a symbol of Hristo's persistence and talent – the true "Sense" behind our brand.
