Calabrese scallops with tuna – The perfect appetizer for any occasion

🌶️ Introducing something light, delicious, and a little spicy for your table! This Calabrese Tuna Scallops recipe will impress everyone – from family gatherings to special dinners with friends. With a unique combination of creamy filling and spicy flavor, this appetizer is our family's favorite.

Required products:

  • 20 Calabrese bell peppers
  • 1 can of tuna (well drained)
  • 70 g cream cheese
  • 3-4 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 sprigs of green onion (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 jar of pickles (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp ground cayenne pepper

Method of preparation:

  1. Preparation of the scallops
    Clean the Calabrese bell peppers by carefully removing the seeds.

  2. Preparing the filling
    Finely chop the green onions and pickles. In a bowl, combine the tuna, cream cheese, mayonnaise, green onions, pickles, and ground cayenne pepper. Mix well until well combined.

  3. Filling the bell peppers
    Fill each ramekin with the prepared mixture, using a small spoon for easier filling.

  4. Serving
    Arrange the stuffed bell peppers on a plate and serve as an appetizer or addition to the main course.

Tips for a perfect result:

  • If you want an even spicier taste, add a few drops of Bulgarian Spirit sauce for more fiery flavor.
  • The dumplings can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator until serving – perfect for busy housewives!
  • For a more exotic flavor, you can add a pinch of dried herbs such as dill or basil to the stuffing.
