Origin and characteristics of the variety

The Black Fire variety comes from a selection of high-quality hot peppers known for their intense heat and rich flavor notes. The pods are about 5-7 cm long, with firm skin and a glossy surface.
Heat ranges between 50,000 and 80,000 SHU, which places Black Fire among the hotter varieties, though without being unbearably hot. The flavor is rich and slightly smoky, with a note of fruity freshness, making it a great fit for a wide range of dishes, sauces and marinades.

Growing in Bulgaria

Black Fire seeds can be sown in a greenhouse or indoors from February to April. Once the seedlings have sprouted and developed, plant them outdoors after the spring frosts have passed (after May 6).
The plant prefers warm, sunny spots and well-drained, rich soil. It grows to 60–80 cm tall, and fruiting begins in midsummer and continues into late autumn. It is suitable for gardens as well as for growing in pots or greenhouses.
