The variety thrives in pots as well as in the garden or greenhouse. The plants are compact (around 50–70 cm), with dark leaves and purple hues along the stems. They prefer a sunny spot and loose, well-drained soil. Water moderately and avoid overwatering. Plant outdoors after May 6.
