Origin and Characteristics

Happy Pepper was bred as a variety that combines visual impact with a pleasant level of heat. The pods are small and elongated, like sunflower seeds, and pass through the full spectrum of colors – from pale yellow and orange to deep red at full ripeness. The heat is in the 10,000–30,000 SHU range, which makes it suitable for wider use – even for more sensitive palates.

The flavor is lightly fruity and fresh, with a pleasantly spicy finish – a great choice for fresh salads, side dishes and pickles, or simply as an accent on the plate.

Growing in Bulgaria

Happy seedlings adapt very well to our climate. This is a low, compact plant, which makes it a great choice for growing in pots, planters and small beds. It loves sun, moderate watering and good soil.

Plant outdoors after the spring frosts have passed (after May 6). The plant starts fruiting quickly and abundantly, flowers over a long period and is a true colorful jewel in the garden.
