Hristo Rodinov is the creator of the hottest Bulgarian pepper, which bears the name “Bulgarian Sense”. Bulgarian Sense is a cross between Trinidad Moruga Scorpion Red and Red Habanero. The pepper's heat is around 200,000 SHU.
Bulgarian Sense is a plant of curious form – the structure of the plant resembles our typical Bulgarian hot peppers, which are more bush-like, but the shape of the pod is exotic and looks like a glossy strawberry. It carries intense heat and a citrus aroma that leave a long, lasting aftertaste.

Because the variety was created and cultivated in Bulgaria, it is high-yielding and thrives beautifully at our latitudes.
